Michael Szameit

Michael Szameit (* 1950 in Priessen in the former district Cottbus ) is a German science fiction writer and editor.

Life

Szameit learned the trade of electrical mechanic and later began to study physics, but which he had to quit for health reasons. He then worked in various film and television professions and eventually became director of a recording studio in a film studio. From 1981 to 1984 he was editing staff in publishing New Life, then a freelance writer. Later he worked in Hamburg as an editor and journalist at Angler Magazine indicators.

His first stories appeared in 1976, his first novel alarm in the tunnel Trans Terra in 1982 in the series tells the publisher Exciting New Life.

According to a survey published in 1990 SFC Andymon - Clubfanzine transfer he was one of the four most popular science fiction writers in the GDR.
