Michael T. Flynn

Michael T. Flynn is a lieutenant general of the United States Army and acting director of the Defense Intelligence Agency, as well as commander of the Joint Functional Component Command for Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance ( ISR JFCC ) and member of the Military Intelligence Board.

Flynn graduated in 1981 from the University of Rhode Iceland with the degree Bachelor of Science, then he joined the Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps, where he received the officer's commission. He then served among other things, in the 82d Airborne Division as a paratrooper in the XVIII Airborne Corps, the Joint Special Operations Command, the 25th Infantry Division, the Joint Readiness Training Center, the Army Intelligence Center, XVIII Airborne Corps ( G2), in the joint Task Force 180, in the 111th Military Intelligence Brigade, the International Security Assistance Forces in Afghanistan, U.S. Central Command and the joint Special Operations Command. LTG Flynn was appointed on 24 July 2012 as the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.
