Michael T. Good

Michael Timothy Good ( born October 13, 1962 in Parma, Ohio, USA) is an American astronaut.

Start of career

Good graduated in 1980 at the Brecksville - Broadview Heights High School. Then he studied aviation and aerospace engineering at the University of Notre Dame and graduated in 1984 with a bachelor, master's degree, he earned just there in 1986.

He worked then as a test pilot in the U.S. Air Force and was involved in this activity in the development of the F- 111 and the B-2 bomber.

NASA

In 2000 he was elected to the 18th group of NASA astronauts and two years trained as a mission specialist. His specialty is the technical support of space operations.

STS -125

Good participated as a mission specialist participated in the Space Shuttle mission STS -125, which launched to the last servicing of the Hubble Space Telescope on May 11, 2009. The landing took place on 24 May 2009 at Edwards Air Force Base.

STS -132

On August 11, 2009 Good was re-nominated in the team of STS- 132. He replaced Karen Nyberg, who was taken out of unexplained medical reasons from the team .. The launch took place on 14 May 2010 Good performed two spacewalks by: . One on May 19 with Stephen Bowen, the other on May 21 with Garrett Reisman. This was the penultimate flight of the space shuttle Atlantis.
