Michael Weiner (referee)

Michael Weiner ( born March 21, 1969 in Ottenstein ) is a German football referee.

Football

Weiner whistles for TSV Ottenstein. Since 1993 he has DFB referee since 1995, he directs Games of the Second Bundesliga since 1998 Games of the Soccer League. His first Bundesliga match Weiner initiated on 6 November 1998 with the match against MSV Duisburg 1.FC Nuremberg.

Since 2002 he is FIFA referee and took in this function at the U-19 European Football Championships 2003 in Liechtenstein in part.

On 25 October 2006 Weiner broke off the DFB Cup match Stuttgarter Kickers vs Hertha BSC after his assistant Kai Voss had been hit by a hard plastic cup. On 26 May 2007, he headed the DFB Cup final match between VfB Stuttgart and 1.FC Nürnberg ( 2:3 aet ).

Weiner resigned alongside Knut Kircher at the end of 2012, volunteered as a FIFA referee from. As the successor to both Christian and Tobias Welz Dingert were nominated.

On March 29, 2014 he suffered in the Bundesliga match between VfB Stuttgart and Borussia Dortmund in 75 minutes a torn Achilles tendon in his left leg.

Private

Michael Weiner is Chief Superintendent. He leads the police station in wood Minden. He lives with his family in Hasede (municipality Giesen ) in the district of Hildesheim.
