Michael Zeyer

Michael " Zico " Zeyer ( born June 9, 1968 in Neresheim ) is a former German football player.

Life

The midfielder nicknamed " Zico " is the twin brother of Andreas Zeyer. Zeyer youth clubs were the SV Auernheim and Heidenheimer SB. After the stations SSV Ulm 1846, SC Freiburg and 1.FC Kaiserslautern 1993, he moved to SV Waldhof Mannheim in the second Bundesliga and has been a leading player under coach Valentin Lord. In 1996 he moved to MSV Duisburg and 1998 free transfer to VfB Stuttgart. After one season he returned to the MSV, since he no longer played a role in the concept of the coach Ralf Rangnick. In Duisburg he remained for four years and completed 119 games. 2004 ended Zeyer after one season at Fortuna Dusseldorf and the rise in the Regionalliga Nord provisionally his career.

After a short time was a comeback for the Icelandic club Ungmennafélag Grindavíkur before he even played in 2006 for half a year at his hometown club Heidenheimer SB.

In the summer of 2006, he ended his career for good. After he graduated from St. Petersburg to study business administration. In June 2010, he was sports director at the Stuttgart Kickers. In April 2011, Michael Zeyer also opened a restaurant in Stuttgart. That's why he ended in June 2011, his work as director of sport at the Kickers ..
