Michal Tabara

Michal Tabara ( born October 16, 1979 in Uherské Hradiště, then Czechoslovakia ) is a former Czech tennis player.

Career

Tabara celebrated first on the Challenger Tour success. In individual, he won 11 titles in his career and four other in doubles. On the ATP World Tour, he collected a total of two titles, including one in each in Chennai against Andrei Stoljarow and another in doubles with Radek Stepanek in Estoril. At Grand Slam tournaments he achieved his best result at both the Australian Open in 2001 and at the U.S. Open in 2004 with the single reaching the third round.

In the years 2001 and 2004 Tabara was used twice in the Czech Davis Cup team. He played in one game his stakes in individual: in 2001 he defeated Adrian Voinea in the first round match against Romania with 1:6, 4:6, however, the game no longer relevant for the overall result had already. In 2004, he was victorious in the relegation match against Paraguay, but also this game was already only of statistical value, since the Czech Republic already unassailable lead in the lead.
