Michel Blanc

Michel Blanc ( * April 16, 1952 in Courbevoie ) is a French actor, screenwriter and director.

Life

In the 1970s, Michel Blanc teamed up with his school friends Christian Clavier, Gérard and Thierry Lhermitte Jugnot to a theater group that was successful under the name of Le Splendid and later turned some movies (among the three films of the Les Bronzés - row).

From 1975, Blanc was involved in numerous feature films and several television productions, mainly comedies. In some films, he was also responsible for directing ( the first time for Two fish on dry land, 1984) and screenwriter responsible. Both as an actor and as a director, he was nominated several times for the César, but this award could never win so far. However, he was able in 1986 to win the Best Actor Award at the International Film Festival in Cannes for his role in the film evening suit. He shared it with the British actor Bob Hoskins. At the International Film Festival of Cannes 1994, he won for the screenplay for his film Grosse fatigue the screenplay prize.

In 2012 he received for the part of the detaining Chiefs Gilles Pierre Schoeller's political drama The promoted the César Award for Best Supporting Actor.
