Michel Boisrond

Michel Jacques Boisrond ( born October 9, 1921 in Châteauneuf -en- Thymerais, Eure- et- Loir, † 10 November 2002 in La Celle -Saint-Cloud, Yvelines ) was a French film director and screenwriter.


Michel Boisrond worked as an assistant to directors like Jean Delannoy, Jean Cocteau and Rene Clair. In his directorial debut, he worked with the actress Brigitte Bardot, with the still shot two more films. Boisrond, who also wrote the screenplay for some of his movies, mostly directed frivolous comedies, occasionally spy films such as OSS 117 - Devil dance in Tokyo without further artistic demands.
