Michel Bras

Michel Bras (* November 4, 1946 in Gabriac, Aveyron ) is a French chef.

Career

Bras is largely self-taught. A modern restaurant " Michel Bras " in the southern French Laguiole is awarded since 1999 with three Michelin stars. The British gourmet magazine "Restaurant" chose the restaurant Bras in 2009 for the seventh best restaurant in the world.

Bras is one of the most influential chefs of France and is considered to be unusually creative. He is known for the use of local products, in particular of local herbs. One of the created by him and often copied dishes is the fondant au chocolat.

2011 gave Michael the restaurant Bras to his son Sébastien. The 2011 turned by the French director Paul Lacoste documentary " Entre Les Bras ," shows this transfer.
