Michel Cullin

Michel Cullin ( born September 17, 1944 in Paris) is " Maître de conférences " at the University of Nice and Director of the Department of French-Austrian relations at the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna.

Life

After successful completion of the study of political science and German Studies ( 1962-65 ) in Paris was Michel Cullin first " Assistant de français " at Theresianumgasse in Vienna ( 1966-1967 ) before accepting a job as a " Lecteur de français " at the University of Vienna ( 1967-1969 ). After a brief stopover at the Scholl Institute of the University of Munich (1969-1971) was Michel Cullin " Assistant d' anglais " (1971-1976), " Maître -assistant de civilization autrichienne " (1976-1980) and finally " Maître de conférences de civilization autrichienne " (1980-1982) at the University of Orléans. In addition, he received his doctorate in " études allemandes contemporaines " (1977), worked as a French correspondent for the ORF and was director of the "club franco- allemand " of Orléans. Between 1979 and 1982 he worked on research commissioned by the " Franco-German Youth Office " and two years later joined the Friends of the CEMEA at. It was followed by several more years in Vienna, where Cullin worked as director of the French Institute (1982-1986) and as a visiting professor at the University and for various newspapers (1986-1989). He then lectured at the universities of Heidelberg, Leipzig and Jena and worked from 1991 to 1995 in Berlin as a cultural attaché for cooperation in higher education at the French Embassy. Between 1998 and 1999 Cullin had then for the first time at the University of Nice as " Maître de conférences ". From 1999 to 2003 he worked as Deputy Secretary General of the " German - French Youth Office " before returning to Nice ( 2004).

In addition to his work as a lecturer, journalist, or investigator Cullin has been active since his student days in politics operates. Since 2008, Michel Cullin represents with Beate Klarsfeld France in the International Council of the Austrian Service Abroad and helps especially the memorial service of young Austrians in Holocaust memorials and Jewish museums worldwide.

He is vice - chairman of the world human association - Association for the promotion of peace among the people.
