Michel Daerden
Michel Daerden ( born November 16, 1949 in Baudour; † August 5, 2012 in Frejus, France ) was a Belgian politician ( Parti Socialiste ).
Life
Michel Daerden was Licentiate of trade and economics ( Hautes Etudes Commerciales Liege ( HEC - now part of the ULg ), 1971 ), approved for upper secondary education in Business Studies (HEC - Liege, 1973), Licentiate in Applied Economics ( State University of Mons, 1975) and licensed company auditor ( State University of Mons, 1977). Since 1976, he owned a company auditor firm, but was himself no longer active since 1994 as an auditor.
On July 26, 2012 Michel Daerden suffered a heart attack and was transferred in the hospital of Fréjus on the Côte d' Azur, where he spent his vacation in an artificial coma. He eventually died on August 5, 2012 to the consequences of infarction.
Daerden was the father of three children. His daughter Aurore Daerden is stylist and DJ in Paris. His son Frédéric Daerden is also statutory auditor and politician of the PS (Mayor of Herstal and Member of the European Parliament ).
Political career
Daerden grew up in a socialist family, but began his political career as a consultant until the powerful politician and leader of the Liège PS André Cools. First, Michel Daerden spent a few years as Alderman of Ans, deputy and senator.
