Michel Vion

Michel Vion ( born October 22, 1959 in Moutiers ) is a French former alpine skier.

Without that he had previously won a single victory in the World Cup Skiing, Michel Vion won the gold medal in the alpine combination in front of the Swiss Peter Lüscher at the Alpine World Ski Championships 1982 in Schladming.

His only victory in the World Cup reached Vion until 1985, when he won the combined score of the Lauberhorn race in Wengen. Michel Vion was French champion in 1978 in the giant slalom, parallel slalom in 1979 and won the championship title in the downhill in 1981 and 1984.

Since June 26, 2010 Vion is president of the French Ski Federation ( Fédération Française de Ski).
