Michela Cerruti

Michela Cerruti (born 18 February 1987 in Rome) is an Italian automobile racing driver. She is a daughter of racing driver Aldo Cerruti.

It started in 2010 and 2011 in the Superstars Series and is the first woman to win a race of this championship.

Career

Cerruti came through her ​​father motorsport. In 2006, he reported them to a safe driving training with Mario Ferraris, a son of the team operator Romeo Ferraris on. Ferraris was impressed by Cerruti services so that he persuaded her father to let her compete to race.

Cerruti 2008 debuted in the Italian Touring Endurance Championship, in which they took in 2009. Cerruti 2010 started for the team of Romeo Ferraris Mercedes C63 AMG in the Superstars Series, an Italian touring car racing series. With a seventh place as best result was 27th in the Italian and 30th in the world rating. She also appeared in the Italian GT Championship for Romeo Ferraris and finished the season in 14th place from the GT Cup standings. In 2011 she stayed with Romeo Ferraris and denied their second season in the Superstars Series. At the season opener at Monza they finished the first race in second place. In the second race in Monza Cerruti scored the winner and thus became the first woman to win a race in the Superstars Series. The end of 2011 Cerruti made ​​in GP3 testing first experience in single-seater. They thus became the second woman after Andrina Gugger, who drove a GP3 car. Early 2012 took Cerruti first time in a Formula racing car series part and went for Victory Motor Racing in the Toyota Racing Series, the highest single-seater series in New Zealand, at the start. In Formula racing Cerruti 2013 returned back to Romeo Ferraris and walked to the team to three events of the European Formula 3 Championship. In addition, Cerruti 2013 took the MLR71 Racing Team to four races of the Auto GP part. She came twice in the points. In touring cars they completed a race in the Eurocup Mégane Trophy.
