Michele Di Ruberto

Michele Di Ruberto ( born August 28, 1934 in Pietra Montecorvino, Italy) is an emeritus Archbishop Curia of the Roman Catholic Church.

Life

Di Ruberto received on 29 September 1957, the sacrament of Holy Orders. He studied at the Pontifical Lateran University and the University of Naples.

In 1969, Di Ruberto staff at the Congregation for the Causes of Saints. He was responsible for the 1984 review of the wonders of candidates for canonization. Pope John Paul II appointed him in 1993 to the Under Secretary of the Congregation of Saints.

On May 5, 2007, Pope Benedict XVI. Di Ruberto Secretary of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints, and Titular Archbishop of Biccari. He received his episcopal consecration Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone on June 30th of the same year.

On 29 December 2010 Benedict XVI accepted. the Di Ruberto pre- attached for reasons of age resignation from the office of the secretary of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints on.
