Michele Paolucci

Michele Paolucci ( born February 6, 1986 in Recanati ) is an Italian football player.

Career

In the club

After growing up in the Juventus youth Michele Paolucci was loaned to Ascoli Calcio in the summer of 2006. He made his debut in Serie A on 10 September 2006, scored in his first professional season six goals for Ascoli. Noteworthy was the statement of Nedo Sonetti, the coach of Ascoli, who commented a brace of Paolucci against FC Messina: " This boy reminds me of van Basten. ".

In summer 2007, Udinese Calcio bought 50% of his transfer rights. In Udine, the striker has been but little used and eventually awarded to Atalanta. The season ended disappointingly for Paolucci - he met not once in eleven league games.

On 24 June 2008, Udinese agreement was extended with Juventus until 2013. After that, he was awarded again, this time to Catania Calcio. In the Sicilians Paolucci earned himself a regular place and played his best season so far.

In July 2009, AC Siena bought from Juventus for 3.5 million euros 50 % of the transfer rights to Paolucci.

In the National Team

He played in various Italian youth selections. Paolucci completed his only game for the Italy U -21 on 12 December 2006 against Luxembourg.
