Michelle Dillon

Michelle Dillon (married Hayes, born May 24, 1973 in Wembley ) is a former British-Australian long-distance runner, triathlete and duathlete.

Athletics

She was Australian Vice- Champion in Cross Country in 1993. At the Commonwealth Games in 1994 in Victoria, she was starting for Australia seventh in the 10,000 m.

Duathlon and Triathlon

1998 for the first time she took, now starting for the United Kingdom, for the first time at a World Cup race in part. In her career she won two World Cup races, the 2001 Triathlon European Cup and one gold and a silver medal at Duathlon World Championships.

In 2002 she won third place in the World Championship of ITU. In 2004 she won the triathlon in Salford as part of the World Cup.

At the 2004 Olympics in Athens, she finished sixth in the triathlon (1.5 km swim, 40 km cycling and 10 km running). Your behind the winner, the Austrian Kate Allen was only a little more than a minute.

In 2005, she won at the World Championships ITU Duathlon from cycling and running, 2007, she was second in the World Championship Duathlon. Also in 2007, she won the Triathlon in London.

In November 2008, she ended her active sporting career and moved into the role of trainer. So she trains today, for example, the Austrian Irina Kirchler.

In January 2012, she married the triathlete Stuart Hayes.
