Michellie Jones

Me Ellie Jones ( born September 6, 1969 in Fairfield ) is an Australian triathlete.

Career

Me Ellie Jones started out in 1990 with her first triathlon. In 1992 she became Triathlon World Champion on the short distance and was able to defend that title in 1993 in Manchester.

In 1996 she was world champion in cross triathlon and it reached at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney behind the Swiss Brigitte McMahon the silver medal. After numerous successes over the short distance Jones started in 2004 for the first time at Ironman Florida on the long distance and finished well as the winner. In 2006 in Hawaii, she won gold and thus the world title over the Ironman distance.

Me Ellie Jones now lives in Carlsbad ( California).
