The head Michel is about 485 m above sea level. NN high hill top or a western extension of the Biel stone in the natural park Meissner Kaufunger forest in the district of Kassel, Hesse ( Germany ).

The head Michel is located in North Hesse in heavily wooded Stiftswald Kaufungen approximately 2.7 km west-southwest of Helsa, 3 km north-northwest of the district Eschenstruth and 3.5 km (distances in each air line ) southeast of Kaufungen.

Below the summit lie the head Michel Michel head lakes, two directly adjacent lakes in former basalt quarries that are wide to about 100 m and have a total of around 700 m in length. Dominated they are part of high ( approximately 8 to 10 m) basaltic rocks or - substantiate the former quarry.
