Mick Hucknall

Michael " Mick " Hucknall James ( born June 8, 1960 in Manchester ) is a British musician. He founded the British band Simply Red

Childhood and youth

Mick Hucknall was born in St Mary's Hospital in Manchester. His family lived briefly in Bredbury, and later in Denton, a working class neighborhood in the east of the city center of Manchester. Mick Hucknall attended the Grammar School in Audenshaw. At this time he became a staunch supporter of Manchester United.

Mick was by his father Reg, a professional hairdresser, educated, since his mother Maureen both left when Mick was three years old. At the Manchester Metropolitan University Hucknall initially studied art history. He earned his time as a DJ. This end of the 1970s matured his decision to become a musician.

Music
