Mick Jones (The Clash)

Mick Jones (full name Michael Geoffrey Jones) ( born June 26, 1955 in London ) is an English musician. He became known as a composer, guitarist and occasional singer of the band "The Clash ".

After his time with The Clash, he rose briefly in a " General Public "; after which he founded the band " Big Audio Dynamite " and " Big Audio Dynamite II". With his new band " Carbon / Silicon" he is still active. The band released their first album The Last Post 2007. Previously, she offered her music exclusively free for download. The first piece of Carbon / Silicon was MPFREE and grappled with the question of copyright, music and internet. Carbon / Silicon allows her fans for insurgents concerts on video or audio devices.

Mick Jones fell ill in 1989 from pneumonia, which he barely survived.

Jones played at Clash times usually a Gibson Les Paul Junior, later a Gibson Les Paul.
