Mickey Moore

Michael D. Moore, also known as Micky Moore and Michael Moore ( born October 14, 1914 in Vancouver, British Columbia, † March 4, 2013 in Malibu, California ) was a Canadian-born American actor and film director of British descent.

Life

Moore and his family moved in 1915 to Santa Barbara. Even as a toddler he was featured in several film productions and to support his career, his family settled in Los Angeles. Until the late 1920s, he was seen in more than 20 films, including King of Kings (1927 ) by Cecil B. DeMille. This supported Moore later in his second career as an assistant director and second unit director who struck Moore from 1947. By 2000, Moore was involved as such in more than 80 productions. Among the best known films include The Ten Commandments (1956 ) and the first three Indiana Jones films.

In 1966 he staged the musical film South Sea paradise his first independent film. The male lead took over Elvis Presley, who was thus seen in its 21st film production. This was followed by some more film and television work. His last work was a self- directed episode of Amazing Stories from the year 1985.

In 2009 he published My Magic Carpet of Films his memoirs in book form.
