Mickhausen

Mickhausen is a municipality in the Swabian district of Augsburg and a member of the administrative community perennials based in Langenneufnach.

Geography

The municipality is located in the southwest of the district of Augsburg in the midst of " perennial ". The shrubs form the main part of the Natural Park Augsburg Western Woods.

History

The Augsburg patrician family pride Hirsch was here in the 13th and 14th century landowner, followed her the lords of Freiberg, who were landlords in the municipal area from the 14th to the 16th century. The Count Fugger were from the 16th to 19th centuries in the possession of the town and the castle. Since the Imperial Diet of 1803, the area belongs to the Electorate of Bavaria.

Incorporations

The church today Mickhausen was on 1 May 1978 at the course of municipal reform, as the 1818 independent communities of Munster and Grimoldsried were incorporated to Mickhausen. Parts of the disbanded community clean Harthofen time with about 50 inhabitants ( loaves, Rieger and circuses ) also were added.

From 1982 to 2008 Anton Müller ( CSU / UWG / GH ) was mayor of Mickhausen, since 2008 Hans Biechele is mayor.

  • Catholic parish church of St. Wolfgang: Anton Fugger left the church from 1535 to 1538 instead of a demolished chapel of Emperor Maximilian I. erect.
  • Catholic Chapel Herrgottsruh: The Chapel Herrgottsruh is about 300 meters northeast of the parish church of St. Wolfgang on a hill. It was built in 1685 by Paul Fugger; the design is by Johann Schmuzer.
  • Old farmhouse second half of the 16th century: 52 Main Street, with a historical monument standing door frame as clover - arch to the front door, there is also the completely preserved roof with " Andrew's crosses ".
