Micky Green

Micky Green ( born June 28, 1984 in Sydney as Michaela Gehrman ) is an Australian pop singer and runway model.

Curriculum vitae

Micky Green has Dutch and German roots. Her parents divorced, after which Green was living with her mother in Sydney. In school she played as a drummer in a band and taught himself to play the piano at. She also began to write her own lyrics, and took first own songs with the computer program Garageband on.

At the age of 18 she left Australia to work in Europe as a model. In addition to modeling she continued to follow her music career by continuing wrote to her songs. She currently lives in Paris. Her debut album White T-Shirt was released on 4 September 2007 under the record label, Polydor France. Producer of the album is Renaud Letang, who has already worked with Feist and Peaches. Critics praised her first album for the simple sensitive tones and its clean, simple sound when other instruments were used when only the soft rhythms that are probably a remnant of Micky Green's GarageBand times. For their tour of France in the spring of 2008, with nearly 20 performances, she learned additionally a little guitar playing. As part of the mission OneSHotNot transmitted by ARTE, she went with pink Hello Kitty guitar next to the Welsh singer Duffy, the artists Manu Chao and Geoffrey Oryema and the band Supergrass on.
