Micropolyphony

Micropolyphony referred to in musicology a polyphonic run rate technique in which the number of self-employed or contrapuntal conducted simultaneously sounding voices is significantly increased, mostly developed over 10 in the 20th century mainly by György Ligeti, can be found in the history of music but also earlier micro- polyphonic works, such as Thomas Tallis. Due to the high degree of timbral fusion of the individual voices the micropolyphony one of the musical impressionist composition techniques.
