Microwire

Microwire is a system developed by National Semiconductor Bus (Synchronous Serial Port ). It is based on SPI, but defines the protocol a little tighter. National tried to introduce this interface with microcontrollers that are on the market, but did not have much success with this.

Currently, the protocol is integrated into many chips from National. Due to the SPI - based, these still respond with any SPI interface.
