Middelfart Municipality

Middelfart Kommune is a Danish municipality in the northwest of the island of Funen. It was created on 1 January 2007 as part of local government reform by combining the "old" Middelfart municipality with the existing communities and Ejby Nørre Aaby.

Middelfart municipality has a total population of 37 523 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2013 ) and an area of ​​298.80 km ². It is part of Region Syddanmark and operates within the region Trekantområdet with five neighboring municipalities.
