Middle Eastern music

The term Middle Eastern music refers to music of the Middle East and the resulting related regions such as North Africa, the Levant and the Persian Gulf states. Oriental music is not confined to the music of the Arabic-speaking countries, Israel, Iran or Turkey. The oriental music also has similar traits to the Greek and Indian music; their influence reaches beyond Central Asia, the Caucasus, from southeast Europe to the chalga of Bulgarian folk music.
