Middle genicular artery

The genus artery media ( "middle knee artery " ) is a small artery of the lower limb. It arises in the popliteal fossa from the popliteal artery ( popliteal artery ) or the upper lateral geniculate artery ( superior lateralis genus). Then it pierces the oblique popliteal ligament ( oblique popliteal ) and the joint capsule of the knee joint and gives off branches to supply the cruciate ligaments. The terminal branches pull through fine vessel holes in the intercondylar notch in the condyle ( condyles ) of the femur.
