Middlesex County (Connecticut)

Middlesex County is a county located in the state of Connecticut in the United States. The largest city in the county and the county seat ( county seat ) is Middletown.

Geography

The county has an area of ​​1137 square kilometers, of which 181 square kilometers are water surface. It is bordered clockwise to the following counties: Hartford County, New London County and New Haven County.

History

Middlesex County was formed in 1785 from parts of Hartford County and New London County.
