Midnight Run is a song by British rapper Example from his third studio album Playing in the Shadows. It was first published 4 December 2011 together with five remixes on iTunes. The song by Feed Me was produced remixes were made by Flux Pavilion, Wilkinson, Sheldrake, Funkagenda and Wideboys.

Music Video

The official music video for Midnight Run was first published on 21 October 2010 on YouTube, in advance of the remix of Flux Pavilion appeared on 9 October of the year as a preview. At the beginning of the video you can see Example in a bathtub. He goes into hiding, however, presents itself to show up next to an island. He drives a car across the island to a house where a woman is standing. He enters it and goes up to the woman. He then reappears from his bathtub. The camera pans into the sink, Example again appeared off the island. The scene repeats itself, after his car but he sees riding a motorcycle. The woman sitting in the car and speaks to him. Another man appears at once on the front passenger seat. He again appeared in the bathtub and under. In his mind, various scenes are shown. At the end of the video you can see over the house an aurora. The clip was filmed in Iceland. Director of the video was Adam Powell.

The single was moderately successful, only reached number 91 in Australia, number 30 of the UK Top 75 and each sixth place on the UK Indie and the UK dance charts.

Criticism

Said Amy Jo McLellan of gettothefront.co.uk that Example should not be ashamed to make pop music, because that would be the point where his talent lies. There have been awarded five out of ten stars. Jayde Samuel of music- news.com held the track for a " catchy" and stated that the rap part on the song bring its peak after two minutes and 55 seconds. He forgave four out of five stars.
