( Also written Meidob ) Midob is the language of Midob in the Sudanese province of North Darfur. It is part of the Nubian language family. The Midob call their language Tid -n- eel, which can be translated as " mouth of Midob ", and they call themselves tìddí (singular ), TID ( plural). There are two main dialects spoken, Urrti and Kaageddi.

Research on the Midob was lately from Thelwall (1983) and Werner ( 1993) published - both studies deal with the Urrti dialect.
