Midori (liqueur)

Midori melon liqueur (Japaneseミドリ メロン リキュール, Midori meron rikyūru ) is a fruity- aromatic liqueur with melon flavor, which is produced by the Japanese Suntory Beverage Multi.

He is outside of Japan produced only in Mexico and available in Central Europe for several years. His predecessor, a liqueur named Hermes was initially only met with limited success, this changed, however, when Suntory adapting the taste of taste preferences in the U.S. and finally in 1978 the successor to the legendary Midori in New York club Studio 54 presented. The beverage is sold in more than 50 states.

Midori is one of the fruit-flavored liqueurs and has an alcohol content of 20 % vol. Typical is his remarkably strong green color, by the name midori for 'green' is derived.
