Midori (web browser)
Midori (绿Japanese for 'green' ) is a free web browser based on GTK ( version 2 and 3) and used WebKitGTK for page layout. Due to its speed, resource-saving design and low hardware requirements Midori belongs since 2008 with version 0.0.20 for Xfce project.
Development
Midori is written in C and Vala and also has a German translation of the dialogs and menus. The aim of the project is to develop a possible small and fast browser which is also suitable for less powerful computers such as netbooks and portable devices.
Midori is primarily developed for unix -like systems, but is also available for Windows since version 0.1.8 and 0.2.5.
Functions
Midori is expandable through Netscape plug -ins like Adobe Flash, and supports user scripts. It supports mouse gestures and can manipulate the appearance of Web pages through custom Cascading Style Sheets.
