Mie Augustesen

Mie Augustesen ( born July 19, 1988 in Vejle, Denmark) is a Danish handball player.

Augustesen began in 1994, playing handball at the Danish club Daugård IF. After the winger from 2000 to 2004 was active for Vejle / Bredballe, she joined Randers HK. With Randers she won the 2010 EHF Cup and the 2012 Danish championship. In summer 2012, she signed a contract with German Bundesliga Thüringer HC. With the THC they won the championship in 2013 and the DHB Cup. In the summer of 2013, she returned for personal reasons back to Denmark. It runs on in their home for København Håndbold.

Augustesen played so far 80 caps for the Danish women's handball national team, in which they scored 262 hits. With Denmark she finished fourth at the European Championships in 2010 and was elected to the All-Star Team of the tournament EM end. Furthermore, she took part in the 2012 European Championship.

With the Danish youth national teams Augustesen won in the U-18 European Championship in 2005, the U-18 World Cup in 2006 and the U-20 European Championship in 2007 each the gold medal.
