Mieczysław Cieślar

Mieczysław Cieślar ( born March 28, 1950 in Wisła in the Silesian Beskid, † 18 April 2010 Rogów at Łódź ) was a Lutheran theologian and bishop of the Diocese of Warsaw Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland.

Mieczysław Cieślar was since 1996 the bishop of the Diocese of Warsaw and at the same time provost of the Lutheran congregations Aleksandrów Łódzki (Alexander b. Lodz ) and Łódź ( Lodz ). He was killed on the evening of April 18, 2010, on the way home from the funeral in Warsaw for the Polish president Lech Kaczyński and the victims of the plane crash near Smolensk on April 10, 2010.
