Mietta

Mietta ( born November 12, 1969 in Tarentum; actually Daniela Miglietta ) is an Italian singer.

She began her career in 1988 at the Sanremo Festival with the song Sogno, which however did not reach the final. The song was a few years later covered by Syria. In the same year she was with Flavia Fortunato on tour through Italy.

In 1989, she presented at the Sanremo Festival of the written Amedeo Minghi song Canzoni, with whom she came in 1st place in the junior competition. The song became her first top ten hit in Italy.

In 1990, she presented at the Sanremo Festival in duet with Amedeo Minghi the song Vattene amore. The song reached number three at the festival and was # 1 for weeks in Italy. In the same year she released her first album, and Mietta was voted singer of the year. She repeated this success the following year, again. At the Sanremo Festival took 1991, 1993, 2000, 2004 and 2008, in part again.

She has worked with many of her colleagues, such as mango, Mariella Nava Biagio Antonacci or, all of whom have written tracks for them.
