Migros Türk

Migros Türk TAŞ, abbreviated Migros Türk, is the largest supermarket chain in Turkey.

Migros Türk offers a club card, with which you can take advantage of promotions and special price promotions. This is used by 7 million consumers. As in the Migros Switzerland there are M, MM and MMM supermarkets and the logo corresponds to the Swiss Migros from the 1980s (apart from the "i" with a dot to distinguish it from the Turkish ı ).

Migros Türk M- 238, 185 MM and MMM 61 stores (2011) and offers 35,000 products and has 13,000 employees (2006).

  • In M Migros stores basic food and a small number of non-food products offered.
  • In MM Migros stores stock more food and an expanded range of non-food products.
  • In MMM Migros stores, there is a wide range of non-food items such as clothing, electronics, books or cosmetics.
  • 5M Migros are large shopping centers ( shopping mall ), which also house shops and boutiques from other companies and its own floor with (fast ) restaurants under one roof Migros.

Migros Türk offers the sale of branded products to private labels.

History

Migros Türk was established in 1954 as a subsidiary of Migros Switzerland. It was in 1974 after the takeover by the Koç Group, regardless of the Migros Switzerland, but was allowed to carry the name and Migros features on. In 2008, the Koç group Migros sold in a buy-out by the British holding companies BC Partners.

Since 2001, Migros products can be ordered online in some cities.

Subsidiaries of Migros Türk

Migros Türk founded in October 1997, together with the construction company Enka Ramenka the company, which maintained under the label Ramstore total of 76 stores (2006) in Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Bulgaria and Macedonia. In September 2007, Migros Türk sold his share of the Ramstore in Russia at Enka, so that Enka has sole ownership of the chain Ramstore in Russia.

The 20 Ramstore stores (2009) in Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Macedonia continue to belong to the Migros Turk.

Şok stores are stores of Migros in Turkey that sell products for your daily needs at cheaper prices. Of these, there are 347 stores in Turkey (2006). Tansaş is another supermarket chain with 226 stores. Furthermore, there are macro center wholesale markets Migros Toptan for businesses, the online store Migros Sanal Market and the luxury shopping malls.
