Miguel Ángel Ruiz

Miguel Ángel Ruiz [ migɛl aŋhɛl Ruis ] (* 1952) is a Mexican author, shaman and Toltekenmeister.

Miguel Ruiz attended a medical school and became a surgeon. A near-death experience caused him to re-engage with the teachings of his Toltec ancestors. His mother Sarita, a curandera ( healer ), and his grandfather, a shaman, his teacher.

His most famous and well-known book is The Four Agreements. It was published in 1997. It is dedicated to the integrity, self-love and the peace of the people. Used as a guide, the four promises that help people to transform the dream of hell in a dream of heaven on earth. The Four Agreements are:

Ruiz wrote more books, among others, which is available in German book perfection in love. He speaks English like Spanish and holds lectures, seminars and " power trips " (Power Journeys ) to " holy " places of the world, especially after Teotihuacan, the spiritual center of the Toltecs. Many of his students are American. He currently lives and works in Las Vegas. Due to health restrictions due to a heart attack he has transferred the teaching to his son Don Jose Luis Ruiz.
