Miguel Bover

Miguel Bover Pons ( born February 14, 1928 in Palma de Mallorca, † January 25, 1966 ) was a Spanish cyclist.

Miguel Bover was a professional cyclist from 1948 to 1962 1953., 1954 and 1955, he was Spanish champion in the individual pursuit. His greatest achievement was the victory at the Tour of Andalusia 1956. During the same year he won a stage of the Tour de France and was the first Mallorcan, featured on the list. In 1962, he won the Six Days of Madrid, in collaboration with Miguel Poblet.

Only four years after his retirement from cycling Bover died on the hunt to circulatory failure.

Miguel Bover Pons was the son of cyclist Miguel Bover Salom; his brother was Juan Pons Bover, also cyclists.
