Miguel Faria Jr.

Miguel de Faria Jr. ( born September 28, 1944 in Rio de Janeiro) is a Brazilian film director.

Career

He began as a director in a late phase of Cinema Novo. His film Pecado Mortal ( "Deadly Sin", 1970) was in competition at the International Film Festival of Venice, and República dos Assassinos ( " Republic of the murderers", 1979) at the Film Festival of San Sebastian ( prize at the International Film Festival of Cartagena).

His film Stelinha from 1990 tells the story of a young rock singer who gets to know his idol of teenage years, a singer of Música Popular Brasileira, who lives down now.
