Miguel Ferrer
Miguel Ferrer ( born February 7, 1955 in Santa Monica, California) is an American actor.
Life
Miguel Ferrer is the eldest son ( of a total of five siblings ) of the Academy Award winner Jose Ferrer and singer and actress Rosemary Clooney.
As a teenager he began to be interested in music, and began a career as a studio musician on. He played drums on Keith Moon's album Two Sides of the Moon. His band mate Bill Mumy provided him with his first television role in the series Sunshine. Miguel Ferrer played a drummer and took the role only because Bill Mumy talked him.
1983 Ferrer won a small role as a waiter in the movie wedding with obstacles. In the Star Trek film Star Trek III: The Search for Spock, he played the navigator of the starship Excelsior. Since then he has starred in many films, usually in the role of villain, including Robocop (1987 ) and My Beautiful Cadillac (1988 ), in which he played a sinister motorcyclists. In Deep Star Six (1989 ), he was seen as a mad scientist in Revenge - A dangerous affair as a companion Kevin Costner and next Bridget Fonda in the movie thriller Codename: Nina (1993). He played the Commander Harbinger in Hot Shots! The second experiment (1993) and starred in Stephen King's The Stand - The Stand (1994 ) in the role of Lloyd Henreid with. In the thriller The Night Flier (1997), also by Stephen King, he was also on display. In The Manchurian Candidate (2004) he played a U.S. Army officer who challenges the protagonist ( Denzel Washington). From 2001 to 2007 he starred in Crossing Jordan - the role of Dr. Garret Macy pathologist with profile. In 2003, he made his stage debut in the Off - Broadway production of The Exonerated. In 2005 his film Cool & Fool came - My partner with The Man in the American cinema.
At the 41st Grammy Awards in 1999, he was in the category of Best Spoken Word Album for Children nominated for Disney's The Lion King II, Simba 's Pride Read- Along. Ferrer plays golf and enjoys skiing. Every year he is co-organizer of a charity golf tournament for the Children's Hospital UCLA. With Bill Mumy, Bill Murray and their common band The Jenerators he occasionally plays club gigs.
Miguel Ferrer is divorced and has two sons from his marriage to Leilani Sarelle. His cousin is the actor George Clooney. His brother Gabriel Ferrer is married to singer Debby Boone, the daughter of the two is the actress Tessa Ferrer. To the actor Mel Ferrer, however, there was no family relationship. With the actress Dominique Dunne he was a close friend and at her funeral one of her pallbearers.
