Mihalj Kertes

Mihalj Kertes ( born August 29, 1947 in Bačka Palanka ) is a Serbian officer and politician. He was a close confidant of former Serbian President Slobodan Milošević and Customs chief Yugoslavia.

In December 2010 he was convicted by a Serbian court for abuse of office to eight years in prison. According to the indictment, he was said to be a member of a criminal group, the state funds in Cyprus let it disappear and inflicted in this way the state of damage in the amount of 60 million euros, because the funds benefited not the state, but the Socijalistička Partija Srbije and various security services.
