Miho Fukumoto

Miho Fukumoto (Japanese福 元 美 穂, Miho Fukumoto; born October 2, 1983 in Kagoshima Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player.

Club career

Fukumoto plays since 2003 in Okayama Yunogo Belle.

National

Fukumoto received her first cap for the Japanese national team on 4 October 2002 against Vietnam. She played at the 5th Women's World Cup 2007 still in all three games at the 6th Women's World Cup 2011 in Germany Fukumoto was in the squad, but it was not used. In the Summer Olympic Games in Beijing in 2008, she completed all six games in Japan, lost the match for the bronze medal but the German team.

Fukumoto also belonged to the Japanese squad for the Olympic Games in London. She came in five of six games for use, including in the 1:2 lost against the USA finals and won the silver medal with her team. With a size of 1.64 m, it was the smallest goalkeeper of the tournament, but suffered only four goals.
