Mika Halvari

Mika Kristian Halvari ( born February 13, 1970 in Kemi ) is a Finnish athlete. His competition weight was 140 kg at 190 cm height.

His most successful year was 1995 when he first won in March, the World Indoor Championships in the shot put in Barcelona and was able to win five months later at the IAAF 1995 World Championships in Gothenburg the silver medal.

At the 1997 World Championships in Athens Halvari was fifth.

In 1993, he was already the first time on the 20-meter mark and was the eleventh shot putter in history to reach this size. In 1995, Halvari in Hämeenkyrö with 21,50 m his best performance on. In the hall, this is at 22.09 m.

Despite his long career Halvari never competed at the Olympic Summer Games.
