Mika Lehto

Mika Lehto ( born April 12, 1979 in Vammala ) is a retired Finnish professional ice hockey goaltender who has played in its active period from 1997 to 2010 was for Ässät Pori, JYP Jyväskylä and Tampere Tappara in the SM- liiga.

Career

Mika Lehto began his career as a hockey player in the junior department of Ässät Pori, for the first team to 2000 he was active in 1997 in the SM- liiga, the top Finnish league. Then the goalkeeper played for two years for his league rivals JYP Jyväskylä, before he moved to the 2002/03 season in the SM- liiga to Tappara Tampere, with whom he won the Finnish championship title at first attempt. At this success he himself had large proportion. In the main round he had a Gegentorschnitt of 1.79 goals per game and a catch quota of 92.4 percent for its 27 missions. In the playoffs, he was able to reduce its operations at its 14 Gegentorschnitt at 1:49 Goals per Match and increase its quota to 94.3 percent. In the following seven years he was a regular for Tappara Tampere of the SM - liiga on the ice before he ended his career at the age of 31 years following the 2009/10 season.

Internationally

For Finland Lehto took part in the junior level at the U18 European Junior Championships in 1997 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 1999. In the U18 European Championship in 1997 he won the gold medal with his team. In the senior level in 2004 he was in the squad of his country at the Euro Hockey Tour.
