Mika Nurmela ( born December 26, 1971 in Oulu) is a Finnish football player at the position of midfielder.

Playing career

Association

After he finished his youth at various clubs, he came in 1988 for the first time in the men's football and got used over the years his first professional contract with FC Haka. It was followed by the stations Malmö FF ( to 1995/ 96) FC Emmen ( to 1999/ 2000), SC Heerenveen (until 2003 /04).

Then he was transferred for a transfer fee of € 750,000 as a beacon of hope in the right midfield 1 FC Kaiserslautern. There, however, he could never meet the demands of his person as an active, Finnish national team and could not even establish itself as a regular player.

After his unsuccessful interlude at FCK, he left before the season 2005/ 06, followed by positions as HJK Helsinki, which he, however, in the same season left again and went to SC Heracles Almelo in the Dutch Eredivisie. After he decided in summer 2008 to finish his career as a football player, he already returned to the beginning of the following year returned to active play football back and since then (as of August 2011) represented in the Finnish second division.

National

Mika Nurmela brought it to four goals in 71 games in the Finnish national team.
