Mika Zibanejad

Mika Zibanejad (born 18 April 1993 Huddinge ) is a Swedish professional ice hockey player of Finnish and Iranian origin, who is since July 2011 the Ottawa Senators of the National Hockey League under contract since April 2009 at Djurgårdens IF in the Swedish Elitserien on the position the Center plays. His half-brother, Monir Kalgoum is also a professional hockey player.

Career

Mika Zibanejad began his career at Hammarby IF, where he went through all the junior teams. In 2008 his home club went into bankruptcy and Zibanejad joined the youth team of the AIK, for whom he played in the J18 SuperElit -. In April 2009, he was obliged by Djurgårdens IF to play for the U18 and U20 team of the club.
