Mikael Johansson (ice hockey, born 1966)

Arne Mikael Johansson ( born June 12, 1966 in Huddinge ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey player and current coach, who played in the Elitserien, among other things Djurgårdens IF in its active from 1982 to 2005.

Career

Mikael Johansson began his career as a hockey player in his hometown at Huddinge IK, for the first team, he was active in the then still second-class Division 1 of 1982 to 1985. He subsequently received a contract with Djurgårdens IF, for whom he played in the Elitserien 1985-1992. With the Brussels residents of the attackers won in 1990 and 1991 respectively and the European Cup in 1989, 1990 and 1991 three times Swedish champion in a row. From 1992 to 1997, the shooter was left for the EHC Kloten in the Swiss National League A on the ice. With the Swiss, he won the national championship in the first four seasons.

For the 1997/98 season Johansson moved to his former club Djurgårdens IF, with whom he was again champion in 2000 and 2001. Following the 2004/ 05 season he finished at the age of 38 years, his career at his hometown club. Then Djurgården decided his number 25 not to forgive. In the 2008 /09 season as head coach Johansson stood behind the band of Djurgårdens IF, before he took over the post of assistant coach for the following season.

Internationally

For Sweden, Johansson took part in the World Youth Championship 1986, and the World Championships in 1990, 1991, 1994, 1995 and 1998 in part. In addition, he was in the squad of Sweden at the Olympic Winter Games in Calgary in 1988 and 1992 in Albertville.
