Mikael Renberg

Mikael Renberg ( born May 5, 1972 in Piteå ) is a retired Swedish professional ice hockey forward who has played in its active period from 1988 to 2009 included for the Philadelphia Flyers, Tampa Bay Lightning, Phoenix Coyotes and Toronto Maple Leafs of the National Hockey League.

Career

Mikael Renberg began his career in 1988 in his hometown Piteå Piteå HC in the first division. In its first two seasons, he was able to draw attention to the NHL scouts and he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1990 in the second round at position 40 of the Philadelphia Flyers. Renberg Then joined the Elitserien to Luleå HF, where he played for three years.

1993 Renberg went to North America and played his first season for the Philadelphia Flyers.
