Mikasa Sports

Mikasa is a Japanese sporting goods manufacturer. It was founded in 1917 in Hiroshima ( Japan) as Masuda Rubber Industries. Since 1964, MIKASA the match balls for all FIVB events and the Olympic Games. Since 1982 Mikasa products are sold in Germany by the Hammer Sport AG, headquartered in Neu-Ulm. In 2000, Mikasa presented the first color indoor volleyball MVP 200 and 2008 represents the first indoor volleyball with eight (instead of 18), flame-shaped panel pieces before - the 200 MVA

As ball supplier (volleyball / beach volleyball ) of the 2012 Summer Olympics in London provides MIKASA the game balls. In water polo Mikasa is the official match ball of the Olympic Games and World Championships. Other products of the company are basketballs and ball accessories.
